Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Join Us at the Annual Bergen County Yom Ha’Atzmaut Celebration

Congregation Rinat Yisrael is once again inviting the entire Bergen County community to celebrate Yom Ha’Atzmaut together and to continue sharing the positive and joyful story of Israel and the Jewish people. As media sponsors of this event, we at The Jewish Link are proud to join in and share the importance of this annual event commemorating and celebrating Israel’s national remembrance and independence days, on Wednesday, April 30 from 6:15 p.m. to 9 p.m..

The theme of the Bergen County Yom Ha’Atzmaut celebration this year is Am Hanetzach—the Eternal People. With the war in Israel continuing and antisemitism fomenting against Jewish communities around the world, the importance of our marking of Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha’Atzmaut only grows. We will honor the memories of soldiers and victims of the Oct. 7 massacre who have a special connection to our Bergen County communities. We will link ourselves to the eternal story of the Jewish people as it is being written today by the heroes of Israel.

With music featuring Eitan Katz, and an exciting drone show highlighting local art, the celebration promises to be even more fun and energetic than last year, and provides an opportunity for us all to display our unwavering support for the democratic and vibrant state of Israel, and serve as an outlet for our Zionism, which belongs in the public square.

We all seek to unify our community in standing against the rise of antisemitism locally and around the world while at the same time celebrating Jewish and Israeli life. America was there for Israel from the time of its founding. As we witness terrible libels, we must use our freedom of speech and deploy truth and light to dispel lies and hatred.

Event registration, in this day and age, is critical. Register at rinat.org/yhe. We look forward to greeting you there.
