On Rosh Hashanah last week, my 3-year-old great-grandson Akiva was sitting next to his mother in shul. During the recitation of Aleinu in the Musaf service, all the congregants knelt down on the floor between their seats. As they were prostrated, Akiva looked up at his mother and whispered, “Mommy, what are we looking for?”

I’m sure this will remain in the family lore for a long time. It was an absolutely precious moment.
