Chabad in Tenafly houses both the Lubavitch on the Palisades Preschool for ages from infant through kindergarten and Tenafly Chabad Academy, an elementary school for grades one through eight. Both programs are run under the auspices of Chabad of Tenafly and bring in the warmth and love of Torah that Chabad is known for. We focus on the individual child; We nurture each child’s strengths and work to bring out the best in every child.
Lubavitch on the Palisades Preschool is an all inclusive, multi-sensory, center based preschool that is devoted to instilling a love of Jewish traditions and Torah values in preschool aged children who are 18 months through kindergarten. The program balances learning and play in a most loving and warm environment and provides a foundation for academic success with an emphasis on building children’s self esteem and a sense of self awareness. LPS offers early and after care, chugim (clubs), a daycare program for infants and babies and also has the privilege of housing the Springboard School, a therapeutic program that specializes in teaching behavioral, social, emotional and language skills in children.
At Tenafly Chabad Academy, our mission is to provide a rigorous education in both secular and Judaic studies while celebrating the uniqueness of each of our students and families. Our curriculum is guided by the New Jersey State Standards and in addition to our robust curriculum, we have a team of learning specialists who provide individual and small-group support and enrichment, a full-time guidance counselor and ELL (English Language support for students who are not native English speakers). Students enjoy weekly STEM, technology, art education and physical education classes. TCA offers a wide variety of after-school programs which run daily from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
The open house for both Lubavitch on the Palisades Preschool and Tenafly Chabad Academy will be held on Friday, November 11, at 9:30 a.m. During the open house you will be able to talk with our principals and see the school in action.
