Ma’ayanot’s Israel Public Affairs Committee (MIPAC) board members Sarah Berman, Nili Raskas and Tamar Cohen attended a conference sponsored by the Anti Defamation League called “Never is Now,” which explored anti-Semitism. Held at the Grand Hyatt in NYC, the students joined close to 1,000 participants to learn about this troubling issue and how to best address it. In addition to the plenary (“Is anti-Zionism anti-Semitism?”) and breakout sessions, the girls attended a special student track, helping college bound teens learn to identify anti-Semitism in its most subtle forms, and providing them with tools and strategies to stand up to it. They were joined by their faculty adviser, Mrs. Yael Weil.
