This year’s Yom HaZikaron program paid tribute to the fallen soldiers and victims of terror who gave their lives for our country. In the wake of the tragic events of October 7, the day was marked with even deeper sorrow and reflection. The Ivrit department organized a powerful and meaningful ceremony, during which students heard the personal stories of both soldiers and civilians who lost their lives in recent months.
On Yom Ha’Atzmaut Ma’ayanot students and faculty celebrated Israel’s 77th birthday with a communal tefillah chagigit with musical Hallel, a delicious Israeli lunch and a Yom Ha’Atzmaut chagiga. The students and faculty were also treated to a special presentation from Rabbanit Noa Lewis, the founder and CEO of Echad, as well as the Female Director and Coordinator of the IDF Chevra Kadisha. Rabbanit Lewis shared powerful lessons and inspirational stories and reminded everyone to cherish life and even in the face of pain and sorrow, we need to have emunah, stay strong and grow from it.
