Ma’ayanot seniors have been working on and planning interactive activities, discussions and real-world problem-solving exercises to spark enthusiasm for civic involvement in the school. This past week, the senior members of the Civic Spirit Club visited freshman seminar classes to run an engaging session on dialogue skills. The sessions were created by students in the Civil Spirit Club and explored how different types of questions—debate, discussion and dialogue—shape our conversations. Using the hot topic of TikTok bans, students practiced thoughtful engagement and learned how to foster more meaningful conversations. Following these sessions, the freshman felt encouraged to think critically about their role in society and the power they have to effect change.
