Ma’ayanot Competes in Model Congress Competition

Last week Ma’ayanot’s Model Congress team headed off to HAFTR to compete in the Yeshiva League Model Congress Competition. The day was long and competition was fierce, but Ma’ayanot’s student “senators” had a great time meeting other delegations and advocating on behalf of their bills and resolutions. Their preparation, persistence and talent all paid off. Seniors Devorah Luber and Irene Lipstein were victorious in their committees, winning first place in the Education/Healthcare and Pension/Science and Appropriations/Banking/Finance/Ways and Means committees. Sophomore Layla Eisenberg placed second in Foreign Affairs/Intelligence/Homeland Security, and freshman Neta Wiznia came in second in Agriculture/Energy/Environment/Transportation. The whole team had a great experience, learned a lot, and is already excited for the 2026 competition.
