Last week, a group of talented and highly motivated Ma’ayanot students competed in the Science Olympiad, an exciting competition between Yeshiva High Schools from NY/NJ, and showcased their knowledge, creativity and skills within different topics of Science/STEAM.
Junior Esther Levin described her experience of this event and said, “Participating in the Science Olympiad gave me the opportunity to apply my passion for science and meet other Jewish teens who share these common interests. I’m so grateful to Ma’ayanot for giving me this opportunity.”
Sophomore Dafna Vega explained, “Through the Science Olympiad I grew to appreciate the complexities of everything that surrounds us in our day to day lives.” Another junior Keren Acoca commented on what she learned from this competition and said, “I learned from this experience that teamwork is extremely important to succeed. While building this tower, Halleli and I had to work together in every step of the process. Overall, I think participating in the Science Olympiad was such an amazing experience and I am so happy that all of our hard work paid off.”
Ma’ayanot is very proud of the team’s accomplishments, and all their hard work and dedication paid off as they returned home with multiple medals, proving their excellence in science, technology, engineering and STEAM. Among the team’s many achievements, Ma’ayanot congratulates Daniella Fox and Ariella Price for winning 1st place for Anatomy & Physiology, to Keren Acoca, Esther Levin and Halleli Lippe for winning 2nd place for Tower and to Yehudis Muller, Hannah Tollinsky and Dafna Vega for winning 4th place for Electric Vehicle!
