Ma’ayanot’s AP Chemistry class recently had the extraordinary opportunity to visit the ExxonMobil Research and Engineering facility in Clinton, New Jersey. This memorable experience was made possible through the generosity and coordination of Dr. Doron Levin, father of Ma’ayanot students Ariella and Esther Levine.
During the visit, students received an in-depth tour of several cutting-edge research laboratories. ExxonMobil scientists and engineers shared insights into their innovative work, demonstrating advanced equipment and experiments used to develop new products and tackle critical challenges in environmental sustainability and clean energy.
Following the tour, students enjoyed a delicious lunch and participated in an inspiring panel discussion featuring four accomplished female chemists and engineers from ExxonMobil. The panelists spoke candidly about their educational backgrounds, career paths and the meaningful contributions they make in the fields of chemical engineering and energy research.
This visit offered students a firsthand look at how chemistry is applied in real-world contexts and introduced them to a wide range of career possibilities in science and engineering. Ma’ayanot is deeply grateful to Dr. Levin and the entire ExxonMobil team for their warm hospitality and for providing such an engaging and enriching experience.
