Help Support Friendship Circle and Make ‘Small Shifts, Big Changes’ in 2020

Dasi Jacob, a yoga and mindfulness instructor, is embarking on a new venture to help benefit an organization that is close to her heart. On January 6 she will kick off the inaugural course of Small Shifts, Big Changes, with all proceeds benefiting Friendship Circle.

Small Shifts, Big Changes is a 30-day program based on small, daily, actionable steps that can help shift you out of a negative mindset and enable you to live fully in the moment

Participation in this program will gain you access to a private Facebook group facilitated by Jacob. You will receive varied daily morning and evening mindset, mindfulness and movement assignments in various formats, such as journaling or video. Content can be viewed at any time, and assignments can be done at whatever time of day works for you. You will be connected with a community of people with common goals who can help keep you focused via positive group energy.

People struggling with low-level anxiety and/or depression, who may feel alone in their thoughts or think they are the only ones self-sabotaging, can be helped with this program.

Jacob has long dreamed of establishing a community that shares similar goals of stepping up and living our fullest lives. Small Steps, Big Changes will foster connections, offer support and help make participants’ minds and, subsequently lives, and the lives of those around them, better.

The fee to participate is a $99 donation to The Friendship Circle of Bergen County. Jacob is thrilled to have found a way to give back to Friendship Circle, an organization with which she became associated through her oldest son, Moshe, who has autism. Jacob and her family have personally benefited from the programs Friendship Circle runs all year, the peers they sent to their home and the support system they provide. They help countless families with children and adults with special needs. Your contribution to Friendship Circle will go a long way towards helping these families.

Give to yourself while giving to others. See what a difference a structured supportive community can make. For more information, contact Dasi Jacob at [email protected]. To register for the program, visit www.bcfriendship.com/smallshifts.
