One year ago, I decided to go on a diet. Never in a million years did I anticipate what would happen next!
I was heavier than ever, cringing every time I looked in the mirror. My energy was non-existent, my mood cranky and my health deteriorating. You can imagine how that impacted my role as a wife, mother, friend, professional, etc. The thought of losing 100 pounds was daunting but not quite as intimidating as the thought of all of the daily preparation necessary for traditional weight loss programs. I knew I needed to lose. I even wanted to. But I was exhausted at the thought of what that required of me.
Fast forward to my discovery of Take Shape for Life—a program that focuses on the pursuit of optimal health. Weight loss is only step one! As I began to melt (effortlessly, I might add), folks started to notice and I referred them to my health coach—a woman who I now credit for saving my life! Ultimately, it made the most sense for me to begin coaching these clients myself. That is where the true magic happened! I began tapping into TSFL’s bionetwork of support—including my health coach, weekly support calls, nutrition support, an accessible medical team, Dr. A’s Habits of Health system, etc! TSFL makes losing weight easy, with the use of portion controlled meal replacements (in addition to one homemade “lean and green” meal), so rather than using my energy to calculate and prepare my food, I was able to focus on creating new habits of health!
