Northern Valley Affairs and the Art Factory Team up for Wedding Showcase

If you’re planning a wedding, and looking for a venue that can safely handle many guests with fabulous food and gorgeous decor, get to know Northern Valley Affairs and the Art Factory, 70 Spruce Street in Paterson. To give you a taste of what your simcha can be, you’re invited to a Glatt Kosher COVID Conscious Showcase at the Art Factory on Tuesday, May 11, from 6-10 p.m. Sample Northern Valley’s cuisine, meet representatives from all the vendors that make a simcha great—photographers, videographers, florists, decorators, musicians and entertainers—and start imagining your wedding at the Art Factory.

The Art Factory is an industrial warehouse that has transitioned into a spectacular event venue capable of holding more than 800 guests. You can make the space your own with any kind of look and theme you want, from rustic country to shabby chic to sophisticated elegance, and have 24-hour access to the complex. With six different ballrooms, there’s a place for each part of your event: reception, ceremony, chossen’s tish and bridal and groom suites. There’s also a covered outdoor space. You can choose from a vast array of in-house decor, props and furnishings that will be professionally arranged to your taste.

Northern Valley Affairs is based at Temple Emanu-El in Closter, where they have been making beautiful and delicious glatt kosher simchas for 13 years. Their off-premises catering has been growing, with simchas at top destinations including Manhattan’s Chelsea Piers, the Museum of Jewish Heritage, the Pearl River Hilton, Rockleigh Country Club and The Grove. After several glatt kosher weddings at the Art Factory, owner David Garsia asked Northern Valley Affairs to open an office there, becoming a trusted in-house vendor.

Les Friedman, owner of Northern Valley Affairs, grew up in the industry, accompanying his grandfather who was a kosher caterer in Brooklyn, Long Island and Florida. He worked in every aspect of the business, progressing from busboy, waiter, bartender, manager and chef to the one who trains incoming staff to his exacting standards.

Northern Valley Affairs simcha menus range from traditional Jewish comfort food to the most refined haute cuisine and everything in between, plated and presented safely and artistically. Receptions begin with the innovative and traditional stations of your choice: carved meats, carved fish and all international themes you can think of. Butlers passing hors d’oeuvres are gloved and masked. Food stations are behind plexiglass. Even the washing stations have COVID safety in mind: glasses of water are handed to you. And with the luxury of so much space, the seats around tables are well spaced and the tables are distanced from each other. Each course of the mouth-watering meal—appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts—is individually plated and served.

Space is limited for the wedding showcase so reserve now. Call or email Les Friedman or Marty Maged at 201-750-0333 or [email protected].
