Summertime‘s officially arrived. We’ve been traveling, yet as Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz” reminds us, “There’s no place like Home.”

It’s heartwarming to see that our many combined grandkids are music lovers, and even radio fans, not surprisingly, as music is our love language. As each of us are different, so are musicians. With our teen back from seminary, and our families expanding, BH”, we’ve got a taste of what young folks like, including authentic Israeli music. The difference in dialect has us chuckling. To each his own. Unity matters!

We’ve seen a nice assortment of music coming out lately, both solo and in collaboration. With concerts and events back in-person, we’ve hit the musical jackpot. Since we get to preview and debut all of the music first, live on radio, we’re in a unique position to create charts of fan favorites. Podcasts have become popular, though they are not radio. Real radio doesn’t require an internet connection, nor pre-recording.

Our son Joey Newcomb’s new album “Big Avoidas” has created quite a stir, and for good reason. It’s a great mix of slow, fast, fun, multilingual and destination genres, which folks tell us shows personality. He joins forces with Shmueli Ungar, Yosef Karduner, Chacham Isak, kids, adults, locals and foreigners. With Doni Gross at the production helm, a unique product is available. Thank you Hashem!

We’ve got some great new music to share from Yakov Shwekey, Lipa Schmeltzer, Nissim Black, Uri Davidi, Beri Weber, Yoni Z and many others. We’re proud to say we know all of these talented mentchen as well as the wonderful, joyful female singers gracing the Thank You Hashem Nation women’s division.

On July 4th weekend there’s a Jewish Music Soulfest planned near Baltimore, which sounds like a lot of fun as well as family-friendly. Many of the familiar Jewish Hall of Famers are joining up with recent popular entertainers. Fireworks are due to sign off the evening of J. It’s always special when generations merge in a grand Kiddush Hashem.

With wedding season upon us, as well as camp season, our musicians are working overtime. We’ve got to hand it to those folks who travel around in an effort to share inspiration and positive energy. Business event planners have wisely incorporated music successfully into their promotions as well.

Our kids and all of us deserve wind-down and rewind time over the summer months. Up-close, in-person connection beats screen time any day. Travel is a spiritual endeavor, especially with music in tow. We take Hashem with us wherever we go, by invitation. Our mission: Promote Hashem. HE IS the brand.

A wonderful program called “Daily Giving” is the epitome of chesed in unity. The numbers of tzedaka given climb greatly in unison. The special Women’s Unity Concert they shared was something special. A dollar a day may not seem like much, yet when combined with many thousands of others, really adds up. Worthy organizations are chosen to benefit from the funds creating a win-win for all. Zechusim included: For example, ours is given in prayer for a refuah shelaima of a young child in Boca Raton.

Although there’s still time, thankfully, before the three weeks are upon us, in preparation we’re preparing shiurim, interviews and a cappella music for our radio listeners. Zemiros on Shabbat, or what I call “a cappella at its finest,” comes straight from the heart, kumzitz or not. May we all enjoy a restful summer Zman, in connection with loved ones, in safety and good health, bezras H.”

Special mazel tov to the Kinderlehrer families. May there always be simchas in good health. #TYH
