The rain kept most classes out of the garden this week, but that didn’t stop them from learning about Pesach Sheni and second chances. In the times of the Beit HaMikdash this second Passover was an opportunity for a second chance for those who were unable to eat the korban Pesach the first time around. Sometimes second chances are necessary in the garden as well. After something ate their pea shoots, they reseeded new peas, using wet paper towels to encourage sprouting. Farmer Yisroel found a break in the rain to plant peppers, cucumbers, basil and tomatoes. They learned never to despair or give up!
