Last week the Moriah Early Childhood students enjoyed a beautiful celebration in honor of the upcoming holiday of Shavuot. The children heard a Torah themed story read by Morah Divsha, and then “picked flowers” to create colorful garlands- reminiscent of the flowers that bloomed on Har Sinai. Baskets were filled with fruit, to remind us of the bikkurim- first fruits- that were brought to Yerushalayim, starting Shavuot time. They are eagerly anticipating Shavuot when the Jewish people received the Torah!
