Naaleh Marks Bullying Prevention Awareness Month

On Thursday, October 27, Naaleh High School was awash in a sea of blue as students and faculty wore blue for #blueupday in support of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month as part of a national initiative organized by the Stomp Out Bullying Program. In conjunction with the program, the school centered their weekly advisory sessions on bullying prevention. The ninth grade focused on developing a common definition of bullying and on different overt and subtle ways that bullying can manifest among high school students. They also discussed the power of bystanders to affect the environment and reduce bullying. The 10th and 11th grades focused on cyberbullying. They explored how quickly rumors can spread online and how to respond to bullying on a digital platform. It was wonderful to see the entire school come together to focus on maintaining a supportive and inclusive community.
