The seventh annual Sharsheret “Pies For Prevention” Thanksgiving bake sale is going on now. Baked goods are prepared with certified-kosher ingredients in local kitchens.

Sharsheret is a national not-for-profit organization supporting young women and their families, of all Jewish backgrounds, facing breast and ovarian cancer. With support of friends and family, proceeds from sales of homemade pies plus generous additional donations have raised $180,000.00 for the Stephanie Sussman and Ann Nadrich Memorial Jewel benefiting Sharsheret to help women and their families living with ovarian cancer.

This year Pies for Prevention is dedicated to the memory of Rochelle Shoretz A”H, Sharsheret’s Founder, friend to all and a woman whose passionate vision changed the lives of thousands of women and families in the Jewish community. Help carry on her legacy so that no Jewish women has to face ovarian cancer alone.

This year the bake sale has been extended to NINETEEN cities, including Bergenfield, East Brunswick, Elizabeth/Hillside, Englewood Teaneck, and West Orange. Your purchase allows you to have delicious, homemade kosher pies for Thanksgiving and support a great cause at the same time.

Order deadline is November 13 in West Orange, and November 15 elsewhere.
