Nattapong Pinta, 36, was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7. He had been working on the kibbutz for a year and a half at the time of the attack. He was last heard from that day when he called his wife, Narissara Jantasang, who had remained in Thailand with their young son, to tell her that he was fleeing under fire.
The 31 Thai farm workers who were kidnapped along with Pinta have since been released. In February, Ynet reported that Thai officials were continuing efforts to locate and secure Pinta’s release. The only remaining Thai hostage, Pinta’s whereabouts and condition remain unknown.
Pinta worked in the avocado and pomegranate farms of the kibbutz, and was saving up to pay off a debt and open a coffee shop with his wife.
Jantasang said, “I felt like my heart was being squeezed when I learned that he hadn’t been freed yet. I will definitely go to the airport [when he returns]. Nothing will stop me.”
