Yeshiva Ner Baruch-Passaic Torah Institute Young Professionals hosted Rabbi Chananya Kanner. He spoke on the stringent demands Judaism places on transparency and honesty in business and interpersonal relationships. Rabbi Kanner is on the staff of Oorah’s TorahMates, a leading organization in matching Jews with limited or no background with volunteer Torah learning partners who learn with them weekly by phone or video. He learned in the Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem for many years and received his rabbinic ordination from Rabbi Yitzchok Berkovits, rosh yeshiva of Aish Hatorah in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem kollel.
Rabbi Kanner was originally from a non-observant home in Mexico City and became interested in learning about Judaism at the young age of 16. Since then, he has worked to spread the light of Torah to people in Argentina, New Jersey, New York City and even in Melilla, Spain.
