Rachel Coalition Hosts Annual Community Education Luncheon

(Courtesy of JFS MetroWest) Rachel Coalition, the domestic violence division of Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ, hosted its annual Community Education Luncheon (previously known as the Women to Women Luncheon) on Tuesday, October 25, at 11:30 a.m. at Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael, 60 Temple Drive in Springfield, New Jersey.

The event featured Katrina Brownlee who was abused, shot 10 times and left for dead. She took matters into her own hands and joined the NYPD to change the system that she says let her down, “I wanted to be a good cop,” she told her audience.

Proceeds from the luncheon help to support Rachel Coalition, the domestic violence division of Jewish Family Service of MetroWest New Jersey. The mission of the coalition is to improve the lives of those affected by domestic
violence by providing a comprehensive and coordinated response to domestic violence in the community.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all of our corporate event sponsors for their support, including Bressler Amery & Ross, BNE Real Estate Group, Lereah Financial Group, The Preferred Client Group, Sunrise Shoprite (West Caldwell and Parsippany), Homewatch Caregivers, SAX and Shufro Rose.

This program is funded in part by the Florin Education Series.
