Ramaz seventh graders took an amazing day trip to Philadelphia. On their whirlwind tour through the iconic city, they visited the Liberty Bell, explored the Franklin Institute science museum and saw the Constitution Center’s “Freedom Rising” show that depicts the history of the United States through to the present. The students even had dinner at Congregation Mikveh Israel, a Sephardic Orthodox synagogue that traces its history all the way to 1740. This trip was an incredible way to bring the students’ studies to life and make everyone feel connected to the nation’s history.
