Real estate enthusiast Ron Cohen has joined the team at Keller Williams Realty. With more than 15 years of experience in the field, Cohen touts a background in real estate development and property management and is currently selling properties throughout the tri-State area.

Cohen was raised in Israel and spent three years in the intelligence unit of the Israeli army. Following his service, he earned a degree in computer science from Machon Lev. Real estate was always his passion and he came to the United States to pursue that dream.

Cohen started his career as a real estate agent for United Homes in Brooklyn and then at Anchor Associated, where his primary focus was sales and rentals in Manhattan.

In 2012, Cohen returned to Israel during which time he was appointed the CEO of Hazorfim Ltd., a leading brand in silver Judaica, where he managed the company’s 150 factory workers and over 40 sales agents throughout 15 stores.

In 2018, Cohen moved back to America and settled in Teaneck, picking up where he left off and joining the ranks at KW. “Joining KW was the obvious best choice,” said Cohen, who credited the firm with premier agent training, technology resources and mentorship that is “exceedingly better than other companies around the globe. Cohen is a people person and truly gets to know his clients. He is not your average agent and will always go the extra mile to facilitate the buying/selling process.

As a real estate agent his style is unique. Cohen doesn’t believe in waiting on listings. He invests a significant amount of time each day making phone calls. “I average 200-300 calls daily,” he said, noting that during COVID-19 his pick up rate increased tremendously. He also considers “door knocking” an important part of the process. “When I get a listing, I knock on doors on the surrounding blocks and people will often refer potential clients.” It’s a timely process, he admitted, but one that certainly pays off.

Cohen’s clients attest to the fact that he brings much more to the table than the typical real estate agent. With a background in construction, he can immediately estimate the cost of necessary renovations, a component that is often a consideration in sales and purchases. He has a catalog of vendors that include mortgage brokers, title companies, attorneys and interior designers, which he introduces to clients to help make the process as seamless as possible. He is always present and invested throughout the transaction.

Cohen has also specialized in real estate investing and real estate development throughout his career.
