Teaneck’s Richard Rosenberg Joins Dream Makers Mortgage Group

Purchasing a home is one of life’s biggest decisions and finding the right mortgage lender to work with can significantly impact the experience. In today’s industry, where lenders are innumerable, Dream Makers Mortgage Group, a division of Family First Funding LLC, distinguishes itself by offering premium services at fair costs with an unparalleled approach to customer service. Like its name suggests, they treat clients like family and aim to make dreams come true.

Located in Hackensack, their lending programs cater to first time home buyers, current homeowners looking to refinance or seniors looking for additional income through home equity. Since 2011, Family First Funding has provided high quality mortgage banking services to over 18,000 residential and business customers. The Dream Makers Mortgage Group was established in 2018 and has uniquely positioned itself with a premier service model.

Jason Berg, Vice President of Sales and branch manager, believes that in a world where things have become somewhat automated, Dream Makers attempts to bring back a personalized atmosphere by creating a sense of family and community among their clients and colleagues. The thoughtful approach that is infused into each customer relationship is something they prioritize across the board.

To that end, Berg has developed an extensive training process that prepares loan officers for the ever-changing mortgage arena, making sure they are adept in the company’s technology, programs and customer service protocols. The goal, he believes, is to allow participants to become intimately aware of all aspects of the company and receive hands-on experience before settling into their role.

According to Berg, there’s a certain culture at the company which is largely responsible for its rapid growth. Dream Makers has created an environment where its employees feel welcomed and valued, which ultimately affects the business they do. And it’s this value-driven culture that is attracting and retaining top talent, like industry veteran and Teaneck resident Richard Rosenberg, who recently joined the team at Dream Makers, bringing with him four decades of executive experience in lending.

Rosenberg, who was the president and CEO at ARK Mortgage for 35 years, is excited about the opportunity to advance the company with his expertise as an industry leader.

“I am delighted to be joining Jason Berg and the Dream Makers Mortgage Group of Family First Funding,” says Rosenberg.

Throughout his seasoned career, Rosenberg has helped countless customers obtain loans and has developed lasting client relationships along the way. At Dream Makers, he plans to devote more of his energies toward helping borrowers with great pricing, products and service, he said. “I love the mortgage business because it allows me to make people happy and service their financial needs.”

Berg and his staff know that buying a home or refinancing an existing home can be a stressful experience that requires a bit of hand holding, which everyone at Dream Makers is both prepared and trained to do.

Ultimately, understanding what their customers want is the top priority and they are available around the clock for issues large or small. As your lender, they not only provide quality service at reasonable rates, but they also quickly become trusted advisors and friends. Perhaps the greatest testimonial is knowing that much of their business comes from repeat clients and their referrals.

Rosenberg feels at home in his new role at Dream Makers and said the team already feels like family. As for his actual family, Rosenberg has two children and five grandchildren who live locally. He is an active member of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun, where he is part of the Men’s Club and Daf Yomi and he is also a member at Congregation Shaarei Tefillah.
