Action Waste Services Offers Affordable Waste Removal

Getting rid of old junk can be annoying. There’s the process of finding a place to dump it and renting the truck to move it, and then there’s the actual act of getting it out of the house, which can be especially tough with larger items. Enter Action Waste Services, a waste removal company geared towards simplifying the process while also offering easy, affordable rates. Helmed by Christopher Lyons, the company services Hudson, Essex and Bergen county, and the five boroughs of New York City.

Action Waste Services was founded by Lyons in 2015. At the time he had been working in construction, and got his waste-removal license as part of the job. Shortly after, he realized there was a need in the community for alternative companies who handled removal jobs and decided to go into business.

“I was looking for something new, and I saw the potential,” Lyons shared with The Jewish Link. “I set the business up, and we were off to the races. And so, Action Waste Service is a full-service junk removal company. We offer homeowners ways of mitigating their rubbish needs, whether that be through recycling or donation of household effects.”

The process is simple: Interested clients take a picture of the item or items they want removed, send it to Lyons’ team, and they will do an appraisal and provide a complementary estimate. Then a few team members will be over as soon as possible to handle the pick-up.

“We do a lot of our work with people who are downsizing,” Lyons continued. “When people have a lot that’s changing in their lives, it’s imperative to have a team that can make the transition as easy as possible. That’s the goal with Action Waste Services, and we have a pretty good track record of doing just that.”

As for what separates Action Waste Services from other companies, Lyons says it’s the holistic approach they take in their work.

“We don’t take jobs just to keep things moving,” Lyons continued. “We’re committed to what we do, and really put an emphasis on recycling and donations. Most of the stuff that comes our way ends up in either of those places. Most companies don’t do that, they just take the stuff to the dump and call it a day. But not us. We make sure it ends up somewhere that it might be able to do some good.”

Another aspect that Action Waste Services prides itself on is their commitment to easy and affordable pricing. Lyons stresses that every job they take is negotiable, and they do their best to provide clients with the best rates, in addition to a simple and stress-free process.

“If someone has a budget in mind, we do our best to work with it,” Lyons continued. “At the end of the day. we’re people people, and understand how things can be. There are never upcharges, and we’re just happy to help. We always give estimates during a free consultation, so there are never any surprises.”

Action Waste Services currently has two offices: one in Brooklyn, and one in Jersey City. These allow for a wide range of areas they are able to service. They offer same day or next day service, and the staff are respectful and courteous. They’re also open seven days a week, and are always available via phone.

“It’s just been a great ride since we’ve started,” Lyons continued. “I feel like we’re getting a lot done, and it feels great. The fun thing about the work is that no two days are ever the same. We’ve seen all kinds of stuff, and have become quite adaptable. You never really know what you’re going to get when you come in to work in the morning.

Action Waste Services is actively accepting calls for waste removals. If you would like to request their services, or learn more about them, you can do so by visiting their website, www.actionwasteservices.com. You can also send them an email at [email protected], or call 201-521-2004.
