JKHA middle school students began their commemoration of the 18th anniversary of 9/11 in morning davening by reciting Tehillim and holding a moment of silence in memory of all those who lost their livesthat day.

Judaic studies faculty member Rabbi Sukenik shared a lasting message about the heroic acts that took place that day, and the importance of looking out for others. He also illuminated for students that school alum Mark Rosenberg z”l (JKHA ‘88), the namesake of the middle school beit midrash, perished on 9/11, which added particular meaning for students as they davened Mincha there.

JKHA social studies classrooms learned about the day and related it to current events as well.
