(Courtesy of RJFL) RJFL sponsored by The Simcha Package kicked off its first ever summer league with 5 games this past Sunday night. Hungry to avenge their loss to the eventual champion Jewish Link Legends, the Brudershaft revamped their lineup and put the league on notice against Aish Tamid. Led by new QB Isaac Laifer (4 TD), the offense was humming. The shiftiness on the ground opened up the passing game in a well balanced attack. An opening drive was capped off by a cross field lateral from Judah Adler to Sammy Nat for a score. The offense continued to buzz with catches from Bryan Alter, Adler, Forman, big time runs from Laifer, and TDs from Bromberg, Zayat and Nat (2). Seth Forman masterminded a suffocating zone defense that allowed just 2 scores. Ben Zayat led the way with 4 sacks and a monster block on a Pick Six by Nat. James Potash and Adler joined in on the defensive fun, pressuring the QB and deflecting passes at the line. Final: Brudershaft 31, Aish Tamid 12.
