The twelfth grade sociology class heard from Myron Sugarman, author of “The Last Jewish Gangster: From Meyer to Myron.” Sugarman talked about the history of the Jewish mob in New York and the U.S., recalling its origins from poor immigrant teens growing up in tough neighborhoods, banding together for their own protection, the protection of their neighborhoods and their residents.
