RKYHS Students Hear From Acclaimed Author Lee Yaron

For their SEED speaker, RKYHS students received an opportunity to try to grasp the reality of October 7 by hearing from Lee Yaron. Yaron is an award-winning Israeli journalist known for her investigative reporting. Her new book, 10/7: 100 Human Stories, explores the victims and communities affected by the October 7 attacks, and she is the youngest-ever winner of the National Jewish Book Award’s Book of the Year. Along with sharing stories from the book, Yaron discussed how she brought the story back to everyday people—who these people were, what they believed in and not just focusing on the tragedy. She also discussed the impact hearing all of these stories has had on her and how it has given her strength and a mission to tell their stories. Thanks to the generosity of the Paul E. Singer Foundation, every student received a copy of Yaron’s book.
