RPRY fourth-eighth grade began Chanukah with spirited days of Maccabia. In line with the message of Chanukah, team להודות (blue) faced off against team להלל (red) for an incredible few days where students were allowed to shine in areas outside of the classroom and demonstrate school spirit, sportsmanship, teamwork, and מדות טובות. Over the course of Maccabia, students competed with energy and excitement in trivia games, sports competitions, See Run Build, Kahoots, game shows, Buzz, Gaga, BBK, choose your game, relay races, bar and bat mitzvah games, Minute to Win It and more. As Maccabia wound down, students demonstrated impressive artistic talent in the banner, Stomp, skit and song competitions reflecting their team theme. The smiles, ruach and team spirit was felt throughout the building as students competed and enjoyed recognizing new strengths and thriving with new opportunities.
