The seventh grade girls at Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva joined the Women in STEM Conference at Princeton University. RPRY, a pioneering STEM yeshiva day school, has been participating in this unique program since its inception five years ago. The girls engaged in live conversations with women scientists in a wide variety of fields, including physics, chemistry and bio-engineering. They also had the opportunity to explore a wide variety of STEM fields!
For an extra layer of fun, they earned points as a group for a scavenger hunt as they completed more modules! The students excelled and placed very high on the leaderboard! Kira said, “I loved hearing different women’s stories. It was very empowering and heartfelt. I especially liked that in most of the presentations they said that a certain thing was hard for them and they made themselves more relatable.” Sarah added that “From this program, I learned that women can do just as much as men can. I also learned that if you want to get somewhere you have to work hard for it.”
