The third grade at RPRY had been hard at work preparing for their wax museum project. Each student chose a famous person to research, gathering information about significant facts from their childhood and adulthood, and then organized their findings on tri-fold displays. This effort culminated in an exciting event on Tuesday, where their schoolmates and families had the opportunity to visit and learn about these important historical figures!
The children dressed as their chosen historical figures, chose a pose to freeze in character and prepared a short verbal presentation to complement their display boards. Visitors had to say a specific word to “unfreeze” the students, allowing them to share information about the lives of these notable individuals.
Guests encountered a wide variety of figures, including Steve Jobs, Ada Lovelace, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Michael Jordan, Queen Elizabeth II and many others. RPRY is so proud of them and they did a fantastic job!
