In conjunction with their unit on the rock cycle, the sixth graders took a trip to the Sterling Hill Mining Museum. The students saw the former zinc mine and two museums focusing on rocks, minerals and other natural materials. They also got to participate in a rock discovery program where each student found six different types of rocks which they were able to take home. Everyone had a wonderful time! Thank you, Morah Kaplan and Mrs. Menasha, for coordinating and chaperoning the trip.
