RTMA Middle School Students Learn Speedy Keyboarding Techniques

With their youthful faces focused in concentration during their keyboarding class, RTMA middle school students had their fingers flying across the keys in speeds that would have been impossible in typing classes of yesteryear.

“This class is different than what you may remember,” said teacher Mr. Jonathan Garcia. “These boys are learning to type very quickly.”

“With the increasing integration of technology in our classrooms and lives, it is very important for us to learn the skills to work quickly,” said eighth grader Jacob Feit of Hillside, in an impressive exhibit of maturity and understanding. His classmate Benny Gluck, also of Hillside, who sat at his side, agreed. “This class really helps us increase our speed for when we write reports or even take notes in class,” he said.

Keyboarding class is another example of how the JEC and its three divisions consider the whole student and provide instruction and support in preparation for success and achievement in the real world. Always capitalizing on and becoming familiar with the tools and applications they will encounter in the competitive world beyond school, the divisions work to empower their students during their years at the JEC.
