Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Ryan Miller has the distinction of being the first Jewish Link Superfan who is equally “at home” with the newspaper online and in print. Ryan grew up in Tampa, Florida and moved to New York City in 2017, then to Englewood in 2021 with his wife, Rachel. Ryan works as a technological consultant with Cigna, and Rachel is an auditor at Ernst & Young.

Ryan and Rachel attend Congregation Ahavath Torah in Englewood and he recently joined the CSS chapter at the shul, to, as he described it, “have a part in making the community a safer place, because I know firsthand what it’s like being on the receiving end of antisemitism.”

Ryan reads the paper regularly, but sheepishly confessed to this reporter that he has only submitted one letter to the editor of The Jewish Link thus far; he said that he “intends on writing more data-driven content, beneficial to the community, in the future.” He currently gives all of the ideas he has to improve the publication, such as automating layouts or suggesting new series of articles, to his friend Channa Fischer, The Jewish Link’s digital editor.

The Jewish Link’s email distribution list is Ryan’s favorite source of information about events in the area. He attended the wine and cheese night and the Jewish Federation’s Kosher Food Expo precisely because the mailing lists brought them to his attention.

Ryan tells us “The Link is my No. 1 way to learn about Israel current events, schools in the area, and businesses I would use. If a business is willing to advertise and support The Jewish Link, then I want to support them. While we don’t have children yet, The Jewish Link enables me to know which schools prioritize subjects I’d like for my kids to prioritize.”

He reports as well: “On Shabbat, I’ve used Bananagrams tiles to do the crossword with friends. The Jewish Link has made a difference in my life. I enjoy reading news that feels more curated to my interests. It behooves all readers to use and improve their reading experience with The Jewish Link because it is the best way to learn about local, social and global news relevant to our interests.”

Thank you, Ryan, for your avid engagement with and warm support of The Jewish Link!
