On Monday and Tuesday evening, RYNJ’s fifth grade boys and girls “launched” their annual STEAM nights! The task for the students and their families to accomplish included building a lunar lander with only the materials that had been sent home with them. The lander had to contain their “astronauts” and safely land on the ground from a few feet up. While using the Engineering Design Process, some fifth graders took theirs to the next level—literally—successfully dropping their landers from a few floors up! Congratulations to all RYNJ fifth graders on the success of their creations!
