PreK-2 had a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday as part of Read Across America week. Everyone made their own Cat in the Hat crown to wear for the day as they celebrated the famous author who wrote so many amazing books and gets us excited to read! Dr. Seuss’ books filled the classroom library for the children to read all day, and the class read one of these beloved stories together, “Horton Hears a Who.” Each child had the chance to make a red and white collage and to make their own tissue paper plate clovers with a pompom Whoville speck to remind us that “a person’s a person, no matter how small”. Thank you Dr. Seuss for so many wonderful books to read, and important lessons to learn!
