RYNJ Shares Tu B’Shevat Treats and Thoughts With Chesed 24/7

It’s as easy as one, two, TU!

With a moving explanatory video and words of introduction by RYNJ eighth grade student Gabriella Bak, the spirited middle school RYNJ girls got packing and put together 100 individual bags of dried fruit, nuts and candy for hospital patients and their families.

In their classrooms, the second grade students created tree cards. They traced their hands on brown paper, cut them out, decorated the “branches” with stickers and wrote sweet Tu B’Shevat messages on the tree trunks. They were so excited to partake in this special chesed project.

Finally, the students of 8B1 collected the projects and attached them creatively to the gift bags. Under the guidance of their rebbe, Rabbi Genack, the boys even enclosed personal refuah sheleima messages of their own.

The first set of chag bags were delivered to the Chesed 24/7 hospitality rooms in time for Tu B’Shevat.
