Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

SAR Academy kicked off the 2024-25 academic year, welcoming students back for an exciting year ahead! The past two weeks included a whirlwind of learning and activities across the ELC, lower school and middle school. Leading up to the first day, orientations allowed students to visit classrooms, meet their teachers and connect with fellow students and their families.

First graders experienced a very special SAR tradition—the First Grade Tallit Ceremony. This special tallit is embroidered with the names of each student and will travel with them through their SAR journey. They will walk under this very same tallit for their Siddur, Chumash and Navi plays, representing that each individual student is part of the fabric of the school community.

On the first day of school, the building buzzed with excitement and a love for learning. Last Friday, Rabbi Krauss welcomed new students to the SAR community with the annual “New Student Ice Cream with the Principal Party.”

A huge thank you to the incredible SAR faculty and staff for their hard work in making the start of the school year so memorable.
