After a long journey to Livingston, the SAR Sting came determined for yet another victory. On Wednesday, November 1, the committed varsity girls basketball team took on the challenge.
Although the game was fairly exciting, the amount of fans in the stands didn’t seem to reflect this excitement. Sting nation came in strong playing a 1-3-1 defense and blocking shots, keeping the score low. Though the Lady Sting struggled to get their shots in, as the rims seemed bouncier than what they were used to, they played a strong game defensively limiting Kushner to only nine points at the half.
Even when things seemed down as Kushner brought out a strong 3-point shooter, the Sting’s defense was too strong for her. By the end of the fourth quarter, the Lady Sting showed their dominance on the court and successfully defeated the Cobras, 48-30. The Kushner Cobras brought forth a strong competition and now SAR looks to see what Hillel has in store for its next matchup.
