SAR HS Students Embrace Spirit of Lag B’Omer

What an unforgettable Lag B’Omer night filled with warmth, music and ruach. SAR boys, accompanied by their rebbeim, went to Congregation Aish Kodesh in Woodmere to celebrate. Adorned in their yellow sting kippot, they danced through the night with Eitan Katz and were privileged to hear inspiring words of Torah from Rav Moshe Weinberg. SAR girls enjoyed an incredible BBQ and kumsitz around the fire at Dr. Mitnick’s house. Students were inspired by beautiful divrei Torah by Hannah R. (11th grade) and Ms. Koslowe, and uplifted by the singing of soulful music by Amielle W. (12th grade) and Hallel W. (10th grade). As night fell, Amielle played guitar and the girls enjoyed music, smores and bonding. To conclude the evening, female faculty members discussed the upcoming holiday of Shavuot and the messages we can learn from the example of Rebbe Akiva, bringing passion, energy and dedication to this meaningful evening.
