The Idea School seniors were accepted to a variety of prestigious colleges and universities, and more than two thirds of the grade will be spending the year in Israel at seminaries, yeshivot and gap-year programs such as Kivunim.

The seniors are getting closer to their graduation date of June 5, spending their time now completing their internships. Some internships are at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, where the school is located, in departments such as marketing, technology and early childhood. One is even closer to home—completing his internship at the school itself—while others are interning at local middle and elementary schools. Still others can be found at locations as varied as The Tenafly Nature Center and Flat Rock Brook, clothing stores, a flooring company, a medical center and the Teaneck Public Library.

One senior shared, “The thing that has surprised me most about my internship is the actual work that I do during my working hours. I find that I did not have a good deal of knowledge about what goes on in the field that I am working in during a typical work day and I find … I understand the field of work that I am doing to a much better extent.”
