North versus South: Ben Porat Yosef eighth graders researched different Civil War era figures as part of their study of this period in American history. They then adopted the personas of the figures to engage in a period debate about the “future” of the union, allowing them to delve into the topic more deeply and gain a more detailed understanding of this era in our country’s history.
