BPY BaBayit was launched on Monday, creating an even stronger connection between home and school. As students, families and teachers adjust to virtual school, the BPY teachers have created engaging lessons and activities to help bring some sense of normalcy to this new situation. When creating the lessons for this week, teachers tried to balance the importance of continuing with their academics curricula while also helping the students deal with the challenges of staying home. Students in the elementary school listened to class read alouds in both Hebrew and English, began preparing their Haggadot for Pesach, participated in interactive math lessons, took part in specialty classes and learned to use both Zoom and navigate links on the computer. Middle school students, in addition to their classes, also enjoyed virtual “locker breaks” as they had a chance to meet up with friends digitally.
