A Letter of Thanks From BPY’s Graduating Thespians

We have been so lucky to be in BPY’s amazing drama program for so many years. It has really been fantastic being part of something this special. We will really miss being in this play when we are in high school, and will never forget this amazing experience that we’ve had. It’s been great spending time working on the show with our friends and getting to know kids from all different grades. We know no other school that produces a show as great as this one, with amazing costumes, dances, songs and scenery. Being in all of these shows has really been an exciting opportunity for us. We feel that we have become more confident as people because of our time onstage. We love acting, dancing and singing, and the drama program has given us the chance to pursue these passions. We are so grateful to Rebecca, Nathan and Beth from Envision Theater for making these shows come together. They put their hearts, souls, time and effort into these plays to make sure that we do the best that we can do and that we are proud of ourselves after we perform. They work with us and help us until we are 100% confident that we are ready to go out onstage. We are so lucky that we have had all of them to teach us in drama throughout the years. We have learned so much from our drama experience. We have learned to work hard, persevere, adapt and never give up when things are hard, but to keep trying. This year, with these tough times, we weren’t able to put on the show, but Rebecca, Nathan and Beth worked super hard to make it special anyway, and we had an amazing virtual video performance. We really appreciate it, and it was a really special way to end our BPY drama journey. We will miss drama so much when we leave BPY, but we will continue acting and singing in high school, because this program has really made us love being part of productions. We can’t thank Rebecca, Nathan and Beth enough for this experience.

Your graduating eighth grade thespians,

Ariella Weinberg, Aviva Pinto, Jacqueline Koutcher, Ayala Kramer, Reiut Cohn and Judah Lopkin
