RPRY Learns About Ruth Bader Ginsburg

“Fight for the things you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” Emily Menasha’s social studies classes spent the week learning about and analyzing the unbelievable impact Ruth Bader Ginsburg left on our country, from gender discrimination to equality for all. Every day, the students watched movie clips, read biographies and were given quotes by the late Supreme Court justice. After studying her life’s work, the students were given time to self-reflect on how her quotes spoke to them and her direct impact on each student. Jake L. said “She taught me to be a leader and not a follower.” Chavi G. connected to Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Jewish identity saying “She proved that just because you’re Jewish, doesn’t mean you have limits. You can be super successful and also be Jewish!”
