“What Makes You Smile?” was the first writing prompt question for RYNJ students of 2B2. The class brainstormed about what makes them smile, and then each student wrote about the topic.

Each child filled out a questionnaire about himself. This allowed each of them to learn about their classmates. The boys converted the information that they had written into sentences.

Then the boys used a mirror to help them describe themselves. They drew their own portraits. First, they observed their head shapes and faces and then they drew them. Coloring in their faces using Cray Pas was a highlight of the project.
