Bruriah students were privileged to participate in the NCSY Pre-Pesach All Girls Yom Iyun this past week, along with many other all-girl schools from across the New York-New Jersey area. After many hours of hard work from the NCSY Torah Committee of Student Leaders, led by Rabbi Jacob Bernstein of NSCY, this program inspired countless students. There were opening words from Shimi Adar and then individual grades had the opportunity to hear from inspiring speakers like Rabbi Moshe Benovitz, Rav Judah Mischel, Suri Weingot and Erin Stiebel. Each student enjoyed powerful divrei Torah to share at their Pesach sedarim. To conclude the program, the girls played a fun and interactive trivia game that put their Pesach knowledge to the test! Leora Goldstein, one of the Bruriah student leaders who was involved in helping to create the program and was a facilitator, shared, “I am so fortunate to have been a part of so much Torah learning that was done in preparation for Pesach. The program was a huge success and I hope we can continue to create more inter-school yimei iyun in the future!” Special thanks to senior Esther Sebbag, who opened the program on behalf of NCSY and congratulations to Bruriah students, Yael Cohen, Shira Pfeiffer and Ayelet Mendeles for all coming in at the top five in the trivia game.
