In a beautifully organized Chanukah yom iyun, Bruriah students were treated to a day of inspiration and fun. Centered around the theme “Torah Is Our Lifeline” (Ki Hem Chayeinu), Bruriah students spent the day discussing the centrality of Torah in our daily lives. They started the day with divrei chizuk from Rabbi Ron Yitzchok Eisenman, rav of Cong. Ahvas Israel of Passaic. Rabbi Eisenman focused on the Chanukah story, and how it teaches us to remain true to ourselves and our Torah values as we go about our day. Bruriah students were then treated to a sumptuous hot coffee and dessert bar. This was followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Bruriah senior Shana Schwartz, featuring some incredible Bruriah faculty members who spoke about how they navigated the challenges of being in a secular work environment prior to working in Jewish education. The program then wrapped up with a delicious lunch and closed with an inspiring kumzitz. Students left the yom iyun uplifted and ready to go through the rest of Chanukah with a new perspective!
