Yeshivat He’Atid Students Survive Hurricane in Class

As part of their classroom economy curriculum, the Yeshivat He’Atid fourth grade students are required to rent their desks. Each month when they pay their ‘rent,’ students are given the opportunity to purchase insurance, in case of mayhem. Well, on Tuesday afternoon, a hurricane came through room 20 and made quite the mess! Students who had purchased insurance were given a loaner desk while repairs were being made. Students who did not purchase insurance had to pay for repairs and make do without a desk for the day. At the end of the day and after all repairs had been completed, the 4B community helped rebuild their classroom. Many students are now contemplating a career in insurance!
