Yesterday JEC High School commemorated Yom HaShoah. Rabbi Neuman spoke to the student body, noting that at this time finding survivors to speak in person has become a difficult task throughout the Jewish community. Together, the students then watched a documentary in which American soldiers who liberated the camps were interviewed and provided testimony of their experiences and feelings as it happened for them. The boys also heard testimony from Holocaust survivors. Rabbi Neuman closed the program with a charge to everyone to commemorate those holy neshamot who were taken from our people by moving forward b’derech Hashem.
